Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden has released the identity of a Danville man who was fatally shot Saturday evening. She says the victim is 29-year-old Tyrell S.Henderson. An autopsy was performed on Sunday and Coroner McFadden says the death remains under investigation by her office and Danville Police.

Danville Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says police responded to the area of the 2300 block of Cannon Street on a report of shots fired at about 8:00 p.m. (on September 15, 2018).
‘’Officers arriving found a 29-year-old Danville resident lying at the edge of the street,’’ said Thomason. ‘’Initial information indicates there were several people gathered in front of a house when shots were fired.’’
