Danville Police patrol officers and Danville Mass Transit employees have new contract agreements. The police contract covers about 52 personnel while the DMT contract covers approximately 22 employees.
Danville Police will see salary increases of 2-percent the first year…then two-and-a-half and two and a quarter percent for the other two years. The police workweek was officially changed to 6 days on and 3 days off. It also adds four hours of mandatory work to one day each month. And police overtime pay will now be in 15 minute increments instead of 30 minute increments.
Police employee contributions toward health insurance will rise from 11-percent to 12-percent for Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
Danville Mass Transit has a new four year contract with one-time market equity adjustments in pay. DMT employees covered by the contract will also see two-percent pay hikes each year.
