Over 300 students from five Vermilion County school districts attended Friday’s 7th Annual Manufacturing and Technology Day at Danville Area Community College. The students are seventh through 10th graders who had the opportunity to see some of the latest technology being used in classes. They also got to talk with representatives from some local companies.
Tyssenkrup Crankshaft, Towne Machine, Deco, and a variety of Danville Area Community College faculty members gave students a chance to participate in hands-on, interactive sessions.
Schools participating included Bismarck-Henning Rossville Alvin, Georgetown Ridge Farm, Oakwood Junior High, Hoopeston Area High School and Westville Junior High.
