Prom season is coming, and one of the first ones will be Eastern Illinois Foodbank’s 15th annual Prom Benefit for Hunger Relief on March 2nd. EI Foodbank’s Dana Schaumburg recently explained it to Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program, saying there are nine king and queen candidates from throughout the foodbank’s 18 counties. And the winners will be whomever raises the most money for hunger relief. They’re inviting you to purchase tickets.
AUDIO: And they are doing individual campaigns to raise money to reach their goals. And then, that will culminate in an event that we will be having on March 2nd at I Hotel, where we will crown our prom king and prom queen for this year. And the money raised will go towards our programs.
