More area residents needing assistance in paying their power bill will be able to sign-up for it beginning Thursday…November first.
The East Central Illinois Community Action Agency will switch to the next phase of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The office will start setting appointments for eligible households with children under 6 years of age, and those who are disconnected from their power source.
Households must meet certain income guidelines.
Vermilion County residents may apply for assistance by scheduling an appointment at the East Central Illinois Community Action Agency office at 56 North Vermilion Street in Danville. Hours for signing up are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
