Coming out Friday, April 19th is “Defiance Part 2: Fiction,” the second album in as many years from former Mott the Hoople frontman Ian Hunter. Last year’s “Defiance Part 1” was Hunter’s first new album in seven years, and like its predecessor the new “Fiction” is loaded with all-star guests, including the late Jeff Beck and Taylor Hawkins, Johnny Depp, Lucinda Williams, Queen’s Brian May, Billy Bob Thornton, and members of Pearl Jam, Def Leppard, the Black Crowes, Cheap Tricks and Stone Temple Pilots. Former Mott the Hoople keyboardist Morgan Fisher also appears.
In addition to the regular release, Hunter has a special vinyl edition of “Fiction” coming out for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 20 that features three additional tracks.
