This bazaar will once again offer its usual "cozy hospitality feeling;" with about 20 vendors selling very unique times. There will be plenty of handcrafts, plenty of treats, and breakfast and lunch will be available as well.

It was a cold night, but a good crowd gathered for the First Fridays Danville annual Night of Lights parade in Downtown Danville.

Inside the Fischer, we found Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr; getting ready to go behind the microphone and call the parade.

Danville Community Relations Administrator Rheanna Ollis and Community Relations Coordinator Lindsey Franz recently joined Tommy B on D102's The Big Show. Franz says, yes, horse drawn carriage rides will once again be part of the big day; adding to the traditional parade.

The show is made possible by the Julius W. Hegeler II Foundation. Tickets are still available, with seats remaining on the main floor and balcony for $35 and $45. Student tickets are $10.

And speaking of Monday, December 15th; that will be the night of a Candlelight Vigil and the decorating of a Memorial Tree in honor of those who have been lost to gun violence. David says this will be at 5:30 PM, in the Douglas Discovery Garden at 215 South Kansas Street.

To help meet this critical need, Toys for Tots will partner with WCIA 3 for a special Toy Drive on December 11, 2025, running from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Crossroads Church on N. Vermilion Street in Danville.

The Danville Area Marine Corps Reserves TOYS FOR TOTS chapter; which serves Vermilion County in Illinois, and Fountain and Warren Counties in Indiana; will be having a STUFF THE TRUCK event, 10 AM to 6 PM; Saturday, December 6th at the Ollie's store in Danville (20 North Gilbert Street).

On Sunday, December 7 at 2 pm, Maestro Matthew Sheppard will lead the DSO in an exciting, live performance of Tchaikovsky's timeless Christmas classic. This concert will feature Von Heidecke's Chicago Festival Ballet in their 35th anniversary performance of The Nutcracker and dancers from the Vermilion county community...

Special guests will be the Westville High School Chorus, under the direction of Ellen Howie. In addition to their numbers, the two choruses will combine to sing "Snowy Day." And there will be audience participation singing a number of familiar Christmas carols led by the chorus.
