Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police say a juvenile is being held in connection with a Georgetown Road shooting. Captain Mike Hartshorn says the juvenile was taken into custody after a man was shot around midnight Monday morning. The shooting occurred in the area of the 2400 block of Georgetown Road – which is Illinois route one.
The man was transported to a Champaign-Urbana area hospital for treatment of what Hartshorn said was apparently a non life-threatening wound. He added that since the incident allegedly involves a juvenile no other information is being released.
In a separate, unrelated incident, no one was hurt when several shots were fired Sunday night in the area of the 2100 block of East Main Street in Danville. The incident remains under investigation by Danville Police.
