Protesters in Portland have been chanting the lyrics to Rage Against The Machine's 1992 song “Killing In The Name,” and Tom Morello supports it. Footage of crowds over the past 60+ consecutive days of protests have been chanting the lyrics “F*** you, I won’t do what you tell me,” at federal officers. Morello posted several tweets of approval, including “Well that’s what it’s for!”
The Portland protests have been happening since the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25th.
