The Eastern Illinois Foodbank has announced a free food distribution will be held in Danville next month for people who qualify. It is not happening until August 28th, but those planning to participate are asked to pre-register at www.EIFclient.com. The distribution will occur at Carle’s North Vermilion location (at 2300 North Vermilion Street) from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.
Although the distribution is being held in Danville it is open to any Vermilion County resident who meets certain income guidelines.
A person living alone can receive up to $2,127 a month and still be qualified for free food. A two member household can receive up to $2,873 a month…and a three member household up to $3,620 a month. If there are four people living in a home the maximum allowable income to still qualify is $4,387 a month. A five member household can receive up to $5,113 a month and still be able to get food through the program.
More information about future food distributions can be found at the Foodbank’s website at www.eifoodbank.org.
