The drawing of the new Congressional Districts in Illinois has created some interesting things for the primary this coming June. One of them is right here, where current 15th GOP Congresswoman Mary Miller is taking on current 13th GOP Congressman Rodney Davis for the Republican nod in the new 15th District. Rodney Davis says, he and Mary Miller do have a lot in common. But he’s confident voters will like his record.
AUDIO: You know my opponent are I are not going to differ on pro-life issues. We are not going to differ on Second Amendment issues. But at the same time, the residents of this district expect us to govern. And they expect us to pass conservative bills. I’ve passed a conservative solution to student loan debt. I will never vote to defund our military. I’ve protected our police.
Davis says, he will definitely be protective of the 15th District’s Veterans, and the VA Illiana Health Care facility.
AUDIO: I’ve worked with VA officials in Danville and Vermilion County throughout my tenure in Congress; and frankly even before that when I worked for Congressman John Shimkus. Many of the constituent cases that my team deals with on a regular basis are getting appointments for Veterans to get the health care they deserve.
The primary election is June 28th, the general election is November 8th.
