If you recently were diagnosed as diabetic, or even if you have been for a while and could use some advice on eating with diabetes, the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service of Vermillion County, Indiana may be able to help. Wherever you may live, all are welcome at some May classes planned by the extension’s Lori Bouslog. It’s called “Dining with Diabetes.”
AUDIO: I try to provide my class participants the opportunity to sample several of the different recipes that are included in the curriculum in the notebook that the participants receive when they attend the program. Each week they’ll have a meal that will have an entree, a side dish, (and) a dessert.
Bouslog says these classes; in the 4-H building at the Vermilion County, Indiana Fairgrounds; can also benefit family members, caregivers, and those just offering general support to someone who is diabetic. If interested, contact Lori at lbouslog@purdue.edu, or 765-492-5332.
