Be Prepared: Broadcasting World is Doing Nationwide Emergency Alert Test; Wed Oct 4th at 1:18 PM CDT

If you are watching television or listening to the radio at 1:18 PM CDT on Wednesday, October 4th; you will notice a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).  This test will include a test of the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), and will be conducted in cooperation of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  The test will be sent to the entire United States and its territories.
