Low water pressure problems are continuing in Danville due to difficulties at Danville’s water treatment plant. The primary cause is reported to be excessive rains, especially north of Danville, in the area that drains into Lake Vermilion. This was followed by excessively cold temperatures, leading to treatment plant difficulties. Water in the named areas should be boiled for five minutes or more before use; otherwise you are advised to use bottled water.
The areas include, roughly, all neighborhoods west of Lake Vermilion, the Winter Park and Holiday Hills areas, neighborhoods north of Boiling Springs Road, and areas south of Winter Street and east of Bowman Avenue, to the Indiana State Line.
