But the program itself will not be held if it rains. *** This week’s “Taps on Tuesday” program at Danville’s Spring Hill Cemetery will be focusing on the Battle of Gettysburg and the capture of Vicksburg during the Civil War. Graves of Veterans at Spring Hill Cemetery who participated in the campaigns will be pointed out. “Taps on Tuesday” begins at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9th, at the Soldiers Circle in Spring Hill Cemetery. The program is presented by the Vermilion County War Museum and the Ward Hill Lamon Civil War Roundtable. The cemetery is located in the 300 block of East Voorhees Street in Danville. The general public is invited to attend the event.
