THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE NOON ROTARY RELEASE
Danville, IL – [September 8, 2025] –Danville Noon Rotary welcomed Jodie Ingram, Workforce Education Director. This position was created in June 2025, after a 1.5-year planning process. It is a much-needed joint partnership with Vermilion Advantage, Danville Area Community College and VVEDS (Vermilion Vocational Education Delivery System). Jodie works closely with school districts in Vermilion County to implement programs, starting as early as junior high school, that can educate students on local career opportunities. The goal is to educate students on careers that are available so they can start thinking, planning, and exploring opportunities sooner. The goal is to provide a stronger pipeline of graduates entering the local workforce by promoting career pathways, help Vermilion County employers fill open positions and increase graduation rates in the schools.

Jodie works with school guidance counselors and workforce partners to create opportunities for internships and career exploration events. Students can experience guided tours of local employers at the Tour of Industries. Jodie stated that “a student’s perception of a manufacturing facility is not always reality.” She wants to expose students to real, local career opportunities that await them after graduation and help connect the dots on the training and education pathways needed to achieve their goals. The motto for this initiative is “We educate- We support- We grow” and this is key to building our future workforce in Vermilion County.
