The Vermilion County Girls High School Basketball tournament wrapped up Friday night at the Mary Miller Complex at Danville Area Community College as the Salt Fork Storm toppled Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin by a final of 51-20 to win their fifth straight Vermilion County Tournament title.
Leading scorers of the game were Salt Fork’s Brycie Hird with 14 points, and Bracie Hird with 11 points.
The Storm are coached by Brian Russell, assisted by Kendra Free and Logan Wade.
The Armstrong-Potomac Trojans finished in 3rd place after a 56-28 win over the Hoopeston Area Cornjerkers.
In the 5th place game, the Oakwood Comets defeated the Westville Tigers 42-35.

The Vermilion County Girls Volleyball Sportsmanship honors were also handed out tonight.
Individual nominees included Makenna Ackman (Armstrong-Potomac), Eva Ronto (Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin), Rubyrae Fraser-Soule (Georgetown-Ridge Farm), Hunter Hagan (Hoopeston Area), Sophia Hart (Oakwood), Karli McGee (Salt Fork) and Carlee Miller (Westville).
The individual Sportsmanship winner was Sophia Hart from Oakwood.
The team winner was the Oakwood Comets.
The Boys Vermilion County High School Basketball Tournament concludes Saturday night with games beginning at 5pm.
