Illinois State Police have released results of a recent crackdown on crime.
The Illinois State Police (ISP) conducted a multi-agency enforcement detail on
May 4-9, 2026 in central Illinois focusing its efforts in Macon, Champaign, and Vermilion
counties. The operation utilized aerial surveillance, intra agency collaboration, and technology to
target known high fatality crash areas, high crime areas, organized violent offenders, and criminal
groups using interstate systems to facilitate crime.
