Danville, IL – Opportunity for Educators! Kennekuk County Park will host an Illinois Department of Natural Resources ENTICE workshop, Illinois Dragonflies, on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 9am – 3pm.
Rusty snaketail, prince baskettail, and eastern amberwing all have one thing in common: being an Illinois dragonfly! Take part in field work and lab studies as we discuss the identification, life history, and behaviors of these fascinating invertebrates, both as aquatic nymphs and as adults. This workshop is for grades 6 to 10 but can be adapted for other grades.

This workshop is offered through the ENTICE (Environment and Nature Training Institute for Conservation Education) for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. ENTICE classes are professional development workshops for educators, both formal and nonformal, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Preservice teachers welcome. Supplemental classroom resources will be provided. Professional Development Hours are available.
