Georgetown and Newman, Illinois. Longview Bank announces the hiring of Dean Grimes as Vice President and
Commercial Loan Officer. Grimes will office at the Georgetown branch and focus on commercial, agricultural, and real
estate lending.
Grimes brings over four decades of banking experience. His background includes commercial lending, agricultural
lending, real estate lending, and business development. He also has experience with cash management, consumer
lending, and problem loan workout.
Most recently, Grimes served at Iroquois Federal in Hoopeston, Illinois, where he worked as Vice President and Branch
Manager. He led daily branch operations while managing commercial, consumer, and mortgage lending along with
business development.
Prior to that role, Grimes served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at United Community Bank in
Danville, Illinois. He managed a commercial loan portfolio and worked to grow relationships with commercial and
agricultural customers across the region.
Throughout his career, Grimes has held multiple leadership roles in community banking across Vermilion County and the
surrounding area. His experience includes lending, portfolio management, and operational leadership.
Grimes earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the University of Illinois. He is active in several community
organizations, including the Danville Rotary Club, Danville Noon Kiwanis, and Vermilion County Farm Bureau Foundation
Board.
