THE FOLLOWING IS AN ILLINOIS HOUSE REPUBLICAN CAUCUS RELEASE
As the General Assembly winds down to it’s scheduled conclusion Sunday at midnight, the Illinois House took a moment Friday to honor a 15 year old from Chrisman who tragically died after suffering a head injury during the first practice of the season.
Bentley Wolfe, a Georgetown Buffalo baseball player and Chrisman Cardinals basketball player, was hit by a baseball during his team’s practice on March 2, suffering a severe brain bleed. He passed away 2 days later.
State Representative Adam Niemerg read from House Resolution 903 which he sponsored.
The resolution was officially adopted earlier this month, but members of Bentley’s family were in the speaker’s gallery during the presentation today.
