FITHIAN — Drivers who need to head east on Interstate 74 between Fithian and Oakwood will need to take an alternate route Thursday.
On Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced that it would close eastbound I-74 for a full day beginning Thursday morning at the existing construction zone at the Illinois 49 exit near Fithian.
