Westville, IL – The Vermilion County Conservation District is inviting you to join the Stardew Valley IRL- Summer in the Sun program on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2 pm at Forest Glen Preserve. Celebrate the joy of pond fishing, learning about local aquatic life, and connect it to your level up skills in the Stardew Valley video game.
This program is designed for nature nerds and gamer nerds alike. Start with an in-classroom lesson on identifying common fish species and their unique adaptations followed by pond dipping and fishing. A park naturalist will be available to share information about local wildlife, and help participants make the most of their day at the pond. Recommended participant age is 14 and up.
