The City of Danville, East Central Illinois AFL-CIO, and East Central Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council are proud to announce their partnership to ensure the continuation of the Danville Labor Day Parade, a community tradition that has been celebrated for more than
90 years.
As one of the largest Labor Day parades in the region, the event honors the contributions of organized labor in America and throughout the world. “We’re incredibly proud to work alongside the East Central Illinois AFL-CIO to continue a parade that means so much to our community,” said Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr. “The Labor Day Parade is an opportunity to recognize workers, celebrate our community, and bring residents together.”

The Labor Day Parade will be held on Monday, September 7. Parade lineup will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the parade stepping off promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Parade lineup will be located at the Hope Unlimited Church parking lot and along Walnut Street. The parade route will travel south on Vermilion Street, beginning at Williams Street and ending at Towne Center.
