THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville will begin street repair work on East Winter Avenue, just east of the Stony Creek Bridge, beginning Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
East Winter Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic while the contractor safely removes the existing pavement and completes the necessary repairs. Temporary traffic signals will be in place to control traffic through the work zone.
The repair work is anticipated to take several days, and motorists should expect minor delays as traffic moves through the temporary signals.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes whenever possible and to exercise caution when traveling through the work zone.
The City of Danville appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this important street repair work is completed.
