Carle Health community commitment continues to expand
Urbana, Ill. – Carle Health has named Angie Hatfield Marker Vice President of Carle Health Center for Philanthropy, advancing the health system’s commitment to growing philanthropic support for care, innovation and community health across all the regions Carle Health serves.
Hatfield Marker, currently executive director of development and campaigns at Carle Health, will begin her new role Oct. 18. She was selected following an extensive search and succeeds Beth Katsinas, who will retire Oct. 30 after nearly a decade leading Carle Health Center for Philanthropy. Katsinas has played a pivotal role in the growth of philanthropy efforts at the health system
The transition comes at an important time for philanthropy across Carle Health. As the health system has grown, so has the opportunity to connect donors and communities with priorities that make a meaningful difference for patients and families throughout the system. That work includes The Campaign for Carle Health, a five-year, $60 million fundraising effort supporting priorities across Carle Health.

Hatfield Marker brings more than 25 years of experience in strategy and leadership. At Carle Health, she has strengthened philanthropic strategy and improved coordination across the system. She has successfully led campaign strategies, fundraising performance management, pipeline development and cross-regional coordination, helping teams identify opportunities and align philanthropic support with priorities throughout Carle Health. Angie’s efforts have helped the philanthropy team secure more $30 million in campaign support.

In her new role, Hatfield Marker will lead philanthropic strategy across Carle Health, working with teams, donors and communities throughout the system to strengthen that impact.
Hatfield Marker and Katsinas will work closely during the leadership transition to maintain momentum for current efforts and continue building philanthropic partnerships that support patients, families and communities across every region Carle Health serves.
