While we still have this year’s mid-term and gubernatorial elections on Tuesday, November 3rd to look forward to; next spring’s Tuesday, April 6th Consolidated Election is just around the corner. Starting Tuesday, August 25th packets for elections handled by the Vermilion County Clerk’s Office in the Joseph G Cannon county building are available for pick-up, with the first day of petition filing being November 16th. County Clerk Robyn Heffern reminds us what this applies to.
AUDIO: So for the Consolidated Election you’ll come to this office for the school board and regional board of school trustee packets. All the other packets, you’re going to go to that jurisdiction. So for like the City of Danville, or you’re going to run for mayor of the City of Danville, you’re going to go to the city for those packets.
And for City of Danville elections, please go to the Danville Election Commission office in the basement of the Joseph G Cannon county building. Their packet pick-up is already underway, with a first filing day of October 19th, as they’ll be having a primary on February 23rd, due to the fact that five candidates are running for Mayor of Danville.
