City of Danville Health and Wellness Manager Jessica Lively says despite all the problems with last month’s heavy rains, Ellsworth Park is more than ready to host this coming weekend’s annual Vermilion River Fall Festival. Lively says City of Danville and Public Works personnel have been there ever since the storms; with their eyes on September 18th through the 20th.

AUDIO: We’re going to be ready to rock and roll. We’ve got everything cleaned up. The last couple weeks, honestly ever since the flood, they’ve been down there working every single day. So, it’s ready to go.
And this year, there’s a Saturday night surprise at the Vermilion River Fall Festival.

AUDIO: We are actually doing a movie on Saturday night. We will be showing “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.” It’ll be an outdoor movie. We have a huge, 25 foot long screen. So that’s going to be new this year. The movie starts at 7:30. Bring lawn chair, bring blankets, bring bug spray. Are you going to have bug spray. Probably, yes.
Hours for this year’s Vermilion River Fall Festival in Ellsworth Park are scheduled for 10 AM to 8 PM Friday and Saturday, and 10 to 3 on Sunday/
