Everyone in the community is invited to attend the September Step Up Vermilion County meeting at 8 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026. The event is held at Second Church of Christ, 3350 E. Voorhees, in Danville, Illinois. This month’s Community Updates will feature two important conversations affecting Vermilion County:
Breaking New Ground: A New Approach to Mental Health, Healthcare & Public Safety for Vermilion County
Hear from leaders representing OSF HealthCare, Crosspoint Human Services, the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, and the City of Danville Police Department about a new collaborative approach to serving our community.
Major OSF Updates & What They Mean for Vermilion County
JT Barnhart of OSF HealthCare will share important developments at OSF and what they mean for healthcare and our community.
There will also be discussion sessions on Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health and Family & Parenting. The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois will also award a $1,000 grant to a local non-profit organization in attendance. The meeting ends at 10 AM.
Step Up Vermilion County brings the community together to identify and address current challenges facing the county.
