SPRINGFIELD — A couple months after Danville Area Community College lost funding, the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) announced Monday that Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 has been selected to provide adult education services for the area that includes portions of Vermilion, Edgar, Iroquois, Champaign and Ford counties.
The district will begin providing services this fall, including adult basic education, adult secondary education, English Language Acquisition, digital literacy, bridge programming and integrated education and training designed to connect adult learners with employment opportunities.
District 118 reports it expects to serve approximately 250 students this year.
“Maintaining access to adult education services in the Danville area is critical and we are pleased to have a new provider in place to serve students and communities throughout the region,” said ICCB Executive Director Brian Durham. “We encourage anyone interested in adult education services to connect directly with District 118 to learn more about available programs and enrollment.”
ICCB also will provide targeted technical assistance to the district during the transition and implementation of programming.

District 118 reports it expects to serve approximately 250 students this year.
