TILTON — What started as a sign shop, then turned into a sports academy for batting and fielding lessons — complete with indoor batting cages — is now on its way to becoming a wedding venue.
Construction underway at T3 Sports Academy,1 S. Hodge St., Tilton, will transform much of the site into a wedding venue, to be called T3 Estate Wedding and Events.
Owner Kylee Bott of Royal, who grew up in Tilton and works with Ameren, is aiming for spring 2027 opening, either by the end of March or the beginning of April.
One side will remain T3 Sports Academy “for a while, until we get up and going and I feel like it’s time to build the new building. I’m not going to rush into anything,” Bott said.
The sports academy opened in 2020 and an addition was added in 2023.
The name T3 comes from, “the top third athlete; you’re striving to be the best,” Bott said.
