Thursday afternoon’s (May 28th) Danville Noon Kiwanis meeting at the Danville Public Library included a special moment, as the organization’s first female African American president was honored. Terri Davis served as Danville Noon Kiwanis president from 2022 to 2023. Speaking to everyone at the end of the meeting, it was obvious that Davis still carries a special glow about being part of Kiwanis; and Davis told CIMG that serving as president meant the world to her.

AUDIO: Absolutely did; I mean, the club is all about helping children. And that’s what drew me in. I’m all about giving back to our community and serving the children. So yes, I’ll stay “glowing,” as long as I’m a part of an organization that is all about helping children.

Also in attendance at the meeting were Danville High School Key Club members. Bailee Easton, who will serve as DHS Key Club president during the 2026-27 school year, spoke briefly to the Kiwanis members.
