THE FOLLOWING IS A TAPS ON TUESDAY RELEASE
Taps on Tuesday will begin a series of programs honoring soldiers of the American Revolution starting on June 9th. Lori Hutt, of Georgetown will be the guest speaker who will talk about two of her ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War. One of those became the second governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The following three weeks will focus on Revolutionary War Soldiers buried in Vermilion County.
The weekly program is held at Spring Hill Cemetery’s Soldiers Circle starting at 6:00 p.m. It’s presented by the War Museum, the Ward Hill Lamon Civil War Roundtable and Danville Township. Larry Weatherford and Greg Green will host the program, Rebecca Woodrum will lead the National Anthem and perform a 1700’s era song accompanied by Keith Bouslog. Taps will be sounded by Anita Zoeller.
