THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE HORSESHOE CLUB RELEASE
Danville, IL ——– The Danville Horseshoe Club will host the 36th Danville Open Horseshoe Tournament at the Douglas Park Horseshoe Complex, 520 S. Bowman, this Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Many top pitchers in the country will be competing including, current Men’s World Champion, Alan Francis (Defiance, Ohio), current Women’s World Champion, Jennifer Gegg (Ste Genevieve, Missouri), and Illinois Men’s Champion, Austin Bailey (Springfield, IL).
Pitching starts with lower classes at 9am, and upper classes including Class A at 1pm. This tournament is sanctioned by the NHPA (National Horseshoe Pitchers Association).
Spectators are welcome. No admission will be charged. Concessions available at courtside.
