Just a little after the 2 PM start to Wednesday’s (July 15th) St. James Food Pantry monthly distribution, in rode a vehicle and trailer driven by Custard Cup owner Andrew Seibert. Two freezers on the back of the trailer held the custard they’d be giving away during the afternoon. Seibert stated that’s he’s been wanting to do this for a while.
AUDIO: St. James Food Pantry reached out to us; and asked if we would partner with them today, knowing it would be a super hot day. They wanted to do something special. It’s something that I actually have been thinking about wanting to do for a few years, since I bought “the Cup.” And so I was super excited to get their call; so we decided we would hand out pints of custard today to all the food pantry neighbors.
The St. James Food Pantry has its distribution day on the third Wednesday of every month; except for December, when they make room for Toys 4 Tots by doing it on the second Wednesday.
