THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE BARBERSHOP CHORUS RELEASE
The Danville Barbershop Chorus is hosting their annual “Polecats in the Park” free concert at the Lincoln Park Stage on Tuesday, September 15. The program will begin at 6:00 pm.
“Polecat songs are some of the bedrock barbershop staples,” notes chorus director Tom Fricke. “Folks will recognize some of the traditional numbers, like ‘My Wild Irish Rose,’ ‘Let Me Call You Sweetheart’ or ‘Wait Till The Sun Shines Nellie.’”
There will also be some numbers from our “Music of America” concert, like “Yankee Doodle” and “God Bless America.” The program should last about 45 minutes. Those attending are invited to bring their lawn chairs, and there should be benches available for seating.
