THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville Public Works Department is continuing to improve parks across Danville. Liberty Park will be receiving updated playground equipment similar to the recent improvements at Elmwood Park. The park playground area will be closed beginning Monday, September 28, 2026, and will remain closed until the project is completed.
For the safety of the public, residents are asked to stay out of the closed playground area while work is underway. We appreciate your patience during construction and look forward to welcoming families back to the newly improved Liberty Park playground.
The City of Danville is proud to continue investing in local parks and supporting outdoor recreation opportunities for residents of all ages. Since 2025, improvements have been completed at Lincoln Park, Elmwood Park, Garfield Park, Espenscheid Park, and Cannon Park.
