Danville Continues Work on Community Roots Tree Removal Program

THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE

Danville, September 24, 2026–

There will be an extension of the Community Roots Tree removal program through the end of January. The program was originally scheduled to begin in June 2026. Due to large amounts of storm debris, the contractor could not continue until July 2026.

Contractors will be removing and pruning trees throughout the city. They will be notifying property owners adjacent to the tree work with door hangers 3- 10 days before they start work.

All of the work is within the City of Danville right of way. Please see the tree removal map below for more information
