The Seven Point of Illinois cannabis dispensary, on the west side of Lynch Road and at 380 Eastgate Drive in Danville, recently processed its first medical transaction, officially completing their transition to a state-licensed retail facility where patients with qualifying medical conditions can legally purchase cannabis products for therapeutic use.
“People who live in Vermilion County and nearby will not have to go to Urbana or Champaign any longer, ” said Seven Point CEO Brad Zerman. “They can come here.”
Zerman also stated that being designated a medical dispensary means that Seven Point’s system “for a point of sale has been adjusted to accept medical card holders and their patient numbers, so that they will automatically receive a 1% tax instead of 30 to 40% existing tax.” He says pickups will be available at the Seven Point drive-up window as well. In addition, med patients will receive free cup of Mad Goat coffee, at both the drive-thru booth or inside at the counter, for the month of October.+
In addition to Seven Point’s introduction of selling Mad Goat coffee, they are also planning to have a food truck opening on site sometime in October or early November.
