ABOVE: Ross Mack, from Liberty Systems LLC out of Tremont, IL (Clerk Office’s voting machine vendor) works with Vermilion County resident to demonstrate the county’s voting machines ahead of the Tuesday, November 3rd election.
It’s required by law, and the Vermilion County Clerk’s Office took care of it at 10 AM Tuesday (Oct 27th). Residents were welcome to stop by outside the Vermilion County Clerk’s Office, on the main floor of the Joseph G. Cannon Vermilion County Office Building, and see a demonstration of the county’s voting machines prior to the Tuesday, November 3rd General Election.

Middle Picture: Vermilion County Clerk Robyn Heffern and Supervisor of Elections Carrie Wilson view Tuesday morning demonstration.
County Clerk Robyn Heffern says there is nothing new with the voting machines being used since the last election.
AUDIO: These are the machines that we’ve had for several years. It’s just a required test that we’re required to do before every election. These are our touch screens and our tabulators, so our tabulators are just checking to make sure things are running smoothly and there are no issues.
Supervisor of elections Carrie Wilson reminded everyone that polls will open at 6 AM on Tuesday, November 3rd; as well as the clerk’s office; and anyone that needs to update anything with their voter registration needs to do that at the clerk’s office. And anyone wishing to vote on Election Day can do it at the clerk’s office, as well as at their precinct voting sight.
