Danville’s new CARLE AT THE RIVERFRONT medical campus held their “First Look for Community Leaders and Partners” Wednesday morning (Feb 8th), as they prepare to begin operations on Sunday February 19th. Carle Director of Ambulatory Operations Heather Tucker says once all the services from Carle’s Fairchild and Vermilion locations are moved in, this will be an outpatient facility of robust healthcare services.
AUDIO: Our ambulatory surgery center will be operational in the new facility here at the Carle at the Riverfront location. So services such as Primary Care, Pediatrics, Cardiology, and Oncology; we will have all of those services still available, as they are today in Danville.

For Danville Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr; the whole Carle at the Riverfront production at 516 West Madison is a major part of a big time turnaround.
AUDIO: This is incredible. We went from an area that was plagued by dilapidated houses to one where we’ve had $85 million of economic investment, in having state-of-the-art healthcare for our citizens. That’s phenomenal. And we are so thankful to Carle for and the effort and the investment that they’ve made in our community.
Both Mayor Williams and Vermilion Advantage CEO Tim Dudley said they’re looking forward to the next couple of big openings coming soon in Danville; the FedEx facility and the Golden Nugget Casino. In fact, Dudley said as you stand on the grounds of the new Carle at the Riverfront, you realize you are in a whole area providing solid medical care to Vermilion County.
AUDIO: When you look at it, it’s going to be a medical cluster if you notice. You’ve got Carle and Christie over here; you’ve got OSF nearby. So the whole west side of Danville/Downtown Area is going to be a whole medical facility, which is going to make it convenient for people to find and get to.
And just a reminder, the Carle at the Riverfront Open House for the Public is set for 4 PM to 6 PM Thursday afternoon, February 9th.
