Thursday and Friday evenings at the Fischer Theatre, it’s Danville High School’s musical. A little different this year, as one of the directors involved, Jordan Richey, explains.
AUDIO: The high school’s putting on A MUSICAL REVIEW. And so it’s actually a combination of four different musicals. Just kind of six or seven song snippets from each, kind of taking place of the school’s musical this year.
Richey says coming out of COVID, it just seemed logical to do this kind of presentation, with the music of four different shows.
AUDIO: Jeff Thomas is actually the leading director on this thing, and he kind of came up with the idea. Before COVID happened the school originally intended to put on a full length musical. But coming out of COVID we didn’t have a capability to do so. This four show set still gives those students the opportunity to perform, and kind of show off the talent that the high school has to offer.
Danville High School’s A MUSICAL REVIEW at the Fischer begins at 6:30 PM, Thursday May 26th and Friday May 27th.
