The field is set for Vermilion County races for the March 19, 2024 Illinois Primary Election. A lottery scheduled for December 13th will decide whether Cathy Moulton or Mathew Long is listed first on the ballot for Vermilion County Recorder. Long is the current Vermilion County Supervisor of Assessments but decided to run for Recorder.
The race for Recorder is the only county office where more than one candidate is running. Others who filed candidacy petitions before Monday’s deadline include Erika Ramsey, who is seeking re-election as County Auditor…Melissa Quick, who seeks another term as Circuit Clerk…Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden who is running for re-election…and State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy, who wants another term. All of those running are Republicans.
