THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT STATEMENT
DANVILLE, IL – On the morning of April 29, 2026 the Danville Police Department assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in executing arrest warrants and search warrants within the City of Danville.
“The Danville Police Department will continue to partner with and assist other agencies to reduce violent crime and drug activity that has a negative impact to the quality of life of the citizens in our community” – Chief Christopher Yates

“FBI Springfield Field Office as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement partners are conducting court authorized activity in the Danville, Illinois area, to include arrests and searches. This event is part of a coordinated effort to combat violent crime and drug activity. There will be a press
release issued later in the week with more details. Due to the operation size and requirements, there will be no further comment at this time.”
