THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF HOOPESTON RELEASE
Due to temperatures being forecasted at or below zero, the City of Hoopeston will open the warming center located at city hall from 7:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2024, through Monday, January 22, 2024 at 7:00 am.
Anyone who wishes to use the center will have can use the intercom at the front of city hall and the police dispatcher will let them in.
Residents are reminded that during freezing temperatures to make sure you allow faucets to drip and open cabinets underneath the sink to allow warm air in. Residents are also reminded that outdoor animals should have proper shelter and food/water. If possible, animals should be moved inside during the below zero
weather.
