Description of Structure/Property: 1- Story Wood-Framed Residence (Occupied)
Description of Incident:
Danville Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 1713 North Logan Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters were advised that all occupants and pets had evacuated the building. Fire had vented from the home and entered the attic space of the structure. Firefighters entered the residence and began a quick-fire attack on the main fire room. Firefighters then worked for several minutes to extinguish the fire located in the attic space of the home.
Ameren assisted firefighters by securing all utilities to the residence.
Danville Mass Transit brought a warming bus to the scene for the residents and firefighters.
Firefighters remained on scene until 10:27 PM.
Fire Cause: The Danville Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
Smoke Alarm Status: Unreported
Estimated Dollar Loss: $ 36,200.00
