Danville’s Mosaic City Church is inviting high school students from throughout the area to enjoy an evening of fun in a safe environment this Friday (Feb 9th) evening at the Danville Family YMCA. Pastor LeStan Hoskins says it will be similar to the times they did this last fall during football season, as the evening will begin following the Friday night Danville High School varsity basketball game against Peoria Richwoods. Pastor LeStan says this is a chance to have fun in a safe space environment, eat some free food, and get to know both other kids, and adults. All that’s needed to attend is their high school ID.

AUDIO: Safety is a priority for us. But we also want the students to come and also have fun. So we let them roam, and they’re supervised; we have several volunteers. And it’s about also building relationships with high school students. In that hey, we’re there for them if they need us. A lot of students may feel like they can’t talk to someone, and we’re there to offer a word of encouragement, a word of advice. And let them know that, “hey, man, we’re here for you.”
The hours for area high school students at the Danville Family YMCA Friday night will be 9 to 11 PM.
