Nearly five years after returning to work for Danville a second time, City Engineer Sam Cole is stepping down to do engineering work in the private sector. Following his final meeting with the full Danville City Council on Tuesday (May 7th) evening, Cole said he’s very much ready to rest for a while, and then move on to a new challenge.
AUDIO: To be honest, I’ve given this job everything that I have to give it, and I left it all on the table. And, I don’t have the heart to go this for another community right now. I think I need to breathe and recover a little bit. It’s been a blast, but it’s been dang hard along the way.
Next week will be Sam Cole’s final week on the Danville City Engineer job.
