The final piece of business for Tuesday (May 7th) evening’s Danville City Council meeting was closed session discussion, followed by approval, of a new four year deal between the city and Public Works Laborers Local 703. This agreement, involving about 50 employees, calls for a $3 an hour raise for the first year, followed by raises of 3% for the second, third, and fourth years.
Director of Public Works David Ruwe says some other items were taken care of as well.
AUDIO: There were mainly just smaller tweaks of different verbiages. And just some different positions being reclassified. But, for the most part, it was the financial side of things that was negotiated.
The new four year deal for the Danville Public Works employees is retroactive to the first of May.
