TAPS ON TUESDAY Focusing on JUNETEENTH with Tues Evening June 18th 6 PM Program

The June 18th TAPS ON TUESDAY program will focus on Juneteenth, and will highlight some African-American soldiers who fought in the Civil War, and are buried in Vermilion County.  The program will point out many of their tombstones in the Soldiers Circle, including a newly replaced military headstone for Henry Parker of the 29th United States Colored Infantry, with all troops from Illinois.  Bring your lawn chairs and join in at 6 PM for the program that honors America’s Veterans each week, at Spring Hill Cemetery’s Soldiers Circle.
